The last of the RWD. 50:50 weight distribution. Not powerful, but holds corner speed very very well, if you dare that is. Its got the ability to come into a corner hot (Happens on targa allot!), and you either throttle if the corner opens up or turn in if the corner tighten and it will scrub speed off and still turn in without under/over steer (if you completely mis judge it, eventually turns to a 4wd drift, marginal understeer with off throttle). Very balanced. Great fun!
This seems a very revealing post Noel.
I have always been impressed with your stage times and especially your time in the Ngutunui hillclimb in the Integra.
Your post sheds light on why you are so quick.
It seems you are prepared to enter a corner at a speed close to 100% of what is possible to make the corner as you read it. If the corner is tighter than you've read it your margin to the limit is very small. I think your ability to control the car on and just beyond the limit is exceptional.
However in rallying the course is far less predictable than on the circuit and bigger margins of error need to be part of your driving style or the probability of crashing becomes much higher.
It is of course a trade off as i'm sure you are well aware.
