Anyone know if AZEV wheels are available in NZ?

Still not found 17" or 18" that I like for the S2. Keen to see the Type A in the flesh if any in the country. (saw some second hand in Germany noted on S2Forum)

A mate of mine has these wheels on a 500 SEC that he brought from the UK, they are nice wheels.

I think you S2 would look nice on the Audi A4 LeMans wheels.

Well... I'm not a big fan of mixing up styles from differnet eras or models. Those Azev have a nice 'old school' look to me. I've narrowed down to 4 options:
1: ur-S8 Avus 18" (but need spacers so not keen)
2: RS2 syle Porsche Cup (but might look wierd without RS2 bumper, etc. Also, these are usually heavy lump of alloy)
3: Simple 5-spoke (like the Azev Type A, but may also be heavy)
4: BBS style multi-spoke (should be lightest option)

Found a URQ with Azev... perhaps not such a good idea after all....

A set of 16" Azev A's would look really sexy von a Mk2 golf.

You saw those 17" RHs on my car - i think that style suits the S2 as well.

Two reasons I think they don't look so good on this car. They're not as dished as the ones in the original pic (above) and the car isn't really low enough to really set them off IMHO  ;)

I found a pic of an S2 sedan with RH Porsche Turbo, 18x8.5. Looks great. (Can't upload pic: "upload folder full".)
I think once my car is lowered (H&Rs on the way) these will be it.
Where did you get yours?
Expensive?

SimonS2

Just remembered, aren't those RH Turbo rims Porsche fittment (5x130)?

SimonS2

Mille Miglia do a 'Cup 3' in 5x112, ET35, that looks good.
Anyone seen these or know who sells them here?

SimonS2

Here's the RH Turbo-Twist 18x8.5 on an S2
Looks good to me.

Where's the shop?
What sizes do they have?

bsting

Thats the mag, mine are 17x8, 5x112. Bought 2nd hand from Platinum.
They came with 5x100 adaptors to fit on the golf (mags not for sale)
They are off the car at the mo, so if you want to fit & see how they look - we could do next sunday.

SimonS2

That's good to know they do 5x112 (could only find 5x130 on Web).
Might take you up on that offer,. Although I'm pretty sure they will look right, would be good to check clearances.
What's the offset (need ET35 or less)?
Any idea on how I'd buy some?

cy

they are based in HK
actually just post the size of the wheel n the offset you require i will ask them

17x7.5" up to 18x8.5" would be ideal.
PCD=5x112mm.
Offset of +ET 30 to 35mm (needs to be less for wider rims to clear tie-rod ends).
Centre Bore 59.1mm

Thanks,

Simon

You couldnt use Porsche wheels on the RS2 as the stud pattern is different to the S2.
