The coupe needs new front shocks, any recommendations?

Mike

If you want cost effectiveness with reasonable performance, KYB are slightly stiffer than standard and work fine with std springs.

If you want to keep the car for a while, are prepared to pay more and want top quality, go for Koni Sport. These work fine with std springs, but for optimum results, stiffer springs are needed as the car gradually leans in long sweeping corners as the std springs are a bit soft.

The suspension was a bit soft on the std car from new and not helped by a couple of decades of wear - the Ur-quattro really showed what this chassis was capable of.

Both these shocks are aval from Autopoassion in Chch (and others I expect).

I put Konis in my CQ and 80q and was very happy.

Agree, I have done both of these options in the past.  Everything Mike said concurs.

Cheers.

I have new munros all round - she feels tight - and pretty cheap to fit out.
