Removed engine and gearbox today.
I am going to remove all the excess clag around engine, fit remote oil filter and cooler, remove all engine breather pipes, there will be much more room around engine.
When cage is fitted i may get bracing through to front struts also caster top plates, plus sort out brakes.

Bev wants to be passenger on events so have an open cheque book ;D ;D

Removed engine from car and stripped, pistons out, rods to be fitted tomorrow, turbo due in few days.
No bearing wear but clutch has been hot,but looks ok.
I don't want to clog up site with too many pix, so here is one with engine ,box, complete on floor

Looks tricky how the turbo sits so close to the engine mount.
Or does it attach somewhere else?

Looks like not much room for a mount? doesn't it get all gooey from the heat off the turbo/?

If you mean the front engine mount, cam belt end of engine, then  that is cold side of turbo.
Exhaust side is what you can see, and that gets warm >:D
