Old 100 and 200 owners may find their cars not actuating the starter motor after a while. This is a common problem and is best solved by either replacing the relay if its that, or if it is the actual switch simply fitting a button that you press to make the starter go.
I got under the dash and shorted out all the wires going to the switch and the starter still wouldnt engage so i think maybe my car is the relay at the moment as i have bypasses the switch and it didnt work still. However if i short a wire from the big live cable going to the starter under the car to the upper small wire the starter works fine.
I will replace the relay today and show you which one it is so it makes it easier if this happens to someone.
:)
The end is nigh, but the end of what is the question?

If it is the same switch as the A4 I have one on trade at the moment. I had to change mine last month (very common on the A4 as the switch is weak) and hence bought two.
