Title: Mk2 race car
Post by: 00quattro00 on September 03, 2011, 01:56:52 PM
Bought a mk2 that has a rollcage, body is a bit beat up but for the price im not complaining, will just run a 16v and put some decent stoppers on it.

Would be cool to see a vw class

It had been on for a while after his time was wasted by someone on here in Hamilton, I was thinking about driving it back but I think the transporter is a better idea >:D

Cool car dude!
Always love a classic race car look... the slightly beat up body gives it a tough streak!  8)

It is a GTI
Mint tail lights
Strut brace
Neuspeed sway bars front and rear
Lowering springs (unknown brand atm)
What looks to be koni's
Mint running 8v
Extractors
What feels like a heavy duty clutch

Pulls hard and corners like its on rails

Well seeing as no one wanted to buy it and I had a mk4 gti front cut I decided to fit the 1.8t in. So far I have the dash mounted, shifter mounted, loom in, just need to hook up the taillights and fuel pump, have a corrado pedal box and gearbox brackets on their way over. When they get here I can get the engine and box in , still a crap load to do, will post up some pics of where its at on the weekend, was suposed to be a budget build but we know how that goes  ::)
