There is 3 door and Sportback too. I always thought the sedan was only going to be for the US market though.
that looks like a smaller A4. Those photo angles make it look like it was miniaturised.
I would say its the American market that push for sedans and would think this will be a US market car, they don't seem to consume hatch backs like Europe, they don't get the "RS" models either so a S3 Sedan would be right up their ally.
Looks like a very nice car, same proportions as a Jetta no doubt being aimed at Americans.

I like it. In terms of sedans, if you want something light, stylish and sleek; there hasn't been much out of the VAG stable of late. The B8 A4 has packed on the pounds (looks wise) compared to the B6 and I'm not a fan of Jettas as the rear end doesn't flow with the rest of the car IMO.

too me it looks like it will cut into the A4 market. (with the pic of that sedan)
doesn't look much smaller (if any) to an A4. The RS4 (well B7 sedan) wasn't a big car at all. So if they are making a smaller sedan , then thats gonna be tiny (if they want 4 people to actually fit in it). Looks like they've minus'd a bit of space from the boot (compared to a B& A4) , so maybe thats where it's smaller?
Although it's been mentioned that the newer A4's have put on the beef!

I just like the old days where the A3 was a hatch. Each Model had a market segment. Now there seems to be all sorts of cross overs and grey areas and RS's come out of their arses (sure , it's a S , but the RS won't be far behind...)
