Title: DSG 7-speed wet or dry clutch?
Post by: portmanteau on March 04, 2018, 09:58:30 PM
Can anyone tell me please if the DSG 7-speed with KHM code in a 2008 1.9TDI MK5 Golf is definitely wet or dry clutch?

I'm guessing that torque limitations for the 7-speed dry-clutch means that version would never have been fitted to a TDI, anyway, but would like to know for sure

Also, whichever type it is, which recalls should by now have been available for that trans on a NZ-new car?  35C1 seems to apply. Was that recall open-ended or did it have a time limitation?

1.9tdi had the dry 7spd DSG.

Only wet 7spd DSG gearbox - Tiguan, Audi RS3, TT-RS, Audi A4 2.0TSI, Audi S4

Which version of the Tiguan? I thought they were mostly torque converter autos?

Thanks. Turns out it still has the recall outstanding. That's what happens when owners get servicing done at independent workshops, I guess

Booked it for a free new Mechatronic, software, and change to mineral oil

2011/2012 Facelift 2.0TSI and also the 2.0TDI.

My own Tiguan has the 7spd DQ500 box. Amazing box. Thankfully will handle what I have in store for it.
