Hmm that's interesting feedback, so far all i've heard was how good it was for daily driving. :-\
looks great mate!! defs recommend the h&r kit. i went for the super sports and they handle well, a bit stiff but great for aggressive driving. Need to do stage 1 on my car soon too, but in no rush - think I'm going to go with Revo.
waiting on some parts first then will be posting some pics of my mk6
Was going to wait till I sorted new wheels but here is the car anyways with some photos I took quickly last night.
2011 MK6 GTI DSG
Candy white
My factory options include
factory tints, tyre pressure monitor, heated dimming and folding mirrors, auto wipers, puddle lights, auto lights and moving xenon headlights
The only mods Iv done are the rear LED number plate lights, front plate recess delete, H&R super sports springs, Remus back box and resonator delete and tinted the front spot lights yellow.
Wheels and a tune are next on the cards.

Absolutely crapty tune. made the car faster for sure. but deliver power like a bag of balls, and seriously confuse the DSG box which drives perfectly fine and smoothly on the stock map, but I suppose I am picky. most Tune customers would probably just enjoy the Turbo rush feeling and not notice the excessive Spike in the boost curve and the very quiet pinking..
Thank f*ck I didn't have to fork out the exorbitant amount pile of hand held rubbish.
Car looks great Lee!
Thanks for the feedback Anton, good to hear not just the positive news about the product. Could it be the tune was for a standard GTI instead of a ED30?
thanks Jay! gees where is everyone?? can't just be us two!!
malware issues probably :(
sadness?
My turn :)
This is my 2010 Mk6 GTI.
It's Candy White like the ones above and is DSG.
Fully stock and have yet to put a list together of mods.

Sweet. Tell us more, e.g. DSG, your plans for it etc
And welcome to the forum. :)
DSG, plan is to go with Stage 1 soon, then follow up with additional mods as finances allow
Update on mine
2011 Golf GTI
Black
DSG
17 inch denver wheels
After market GPS/Bluetooth/Radio
After market Reversing Camera
Milltek 2.75 inch non resonated cat-back & and Milltek 3 inch high flow cat Downpipe
ECU and DSG tuned (202kW/380nm)
Probably going to leave it here as far as mods go, but in the next couple months will doing some work on the paint and trim - there are some minor swirl marks and light stone scratches on the paint that will come out with a good polish and then I will put on ceramic coatings to keep it looking good

My little stormtrooper, heading to Auckland from Australia in a couple of weeks. Bought brand new in 2011, Stage 1 tune, DSG, ACC, Bluetooth, leather interior, sunroof, bought with the black 19s but since got rid of them as they were soft as butter on regular roads. Went down to an 18 recently which is much more compliant and not so prone to buckling
Welcome to nZ, looks likeab awesome lil rocket!
2011 Model
Ive owned it for six weeks. First GTI I have owned.
Ive tinted front driver/passenger window.
Matt Black vinyl wrap on the wing mirrors.
De badged the boot.
Ive ordered the Cobb Accessport and intake, once that arrives ill remove the cat and put a 3inch downpipe which im sure will open it up a bit. It already Struggles to get traction in first and second as it is with no mods.
Looks good. Best colour for a MK6 GTI.
If you are struggling for grip I would suggest 2 things.
1. Get decent rubber.
2. Replace your LCA bushes with an anti lift kit. There are a few around, Powerflex, Superpro, Whiteline.
3. modify yr driving style,
4. Wheel alignment.
5. Buy a slower car :o

1+2 makes a huge difference, beware no. 2 will introduce more cabin noise

I did mine because the old ones were split and replaced them with the SuperPro bushes. I didn't really notice any difference in NVH

Welcome, spoke to you on facebook a couple times.
Just so you are aware.
Having gone Cobb + their intake.
If you chose to get tuned else where ever. Their intakes do not follow OEM intake internal diameter
So will experience issues with fuel trims, which you need to advise any other tuner building your files.
Hopefully you are using the Cobb AP are you considering using an external tuning source and not their own files?
I would be very interested in what the reasoning was for going Cobb thou.
Always very interested in choices made.
Hi GLIDN.
On further research, the cobb intake is only for the left hand drive gtis, so flagged this one and have just put in the order for the cobb accessport at this stage thru dynotech as they are now the nz supplier.
The Cobb system looks like a good starting point, and I like the fact you can have different maps for say 95 and 98 fuel, high and low boost and stock standard. Plus it has boost guages, shift lights, adjustable launch control rpm all on the accessport which i thought was pretty cool.
s**tty, pics hopefully better to follow

thanks haha, nah ive spent too much money now on mods anyway - getting close to insurance not wanting to cover it - already hard enough as it is with some insurance companies not insuring modded cars on principal

one of the best upgrades hands down is the rear swaybar on the mk5/6 hatch/wagon and sedan
Throwback to 2015! I miss that car.
