Title: Types of 16v engines ??
Post by: black16v on November 03, 2014, 09:50:08 PM
Hi guys I've been reading posts about guys mixing and matching 16v engine heads and blocks. I have a KR K-jet so I know what that is. But can someone tell me without getting too carried away what a 9A and ABF are out of and what fuel systems they use.
Thanks.

ABFs come in mk3 GTIs and use Digifant 3 fuel injection, but you can run then on kjet. They are 2 liter. I'm not 100% sure about 9As but I think they are a 2 liter kjet.

9a's came in Passats and are 2.0 16V. I think the 9a has softer cams than a KR.
