Title: Cabrio roof tension cables
Post by: VAG-GAV on August 01, 2017, 01:26:19 PM
Anyone ever made replacement cables for a cabrio roof before.... I'm reading the "how to" guides but wondering whether it is a really trckey job to get them in once done

I've never made them - always bought them and replaced them....

The long one round the back can be a pain to fit (unless you've got a willing assistant) and a bought one has the two threaded ends already on it.

The side ones are easier once you realise you've got to put them onto the spring like you're put a key on a key ring..... And don't take the springs off!
