Fizz has the V Flow on his MK5 GTI

I had one on my MK4 GTI and MK4 R32..

I love the EVOMS Kits.. great quality and not constructed from Heat Conducting Metals..

they also look semi OEM once installed :)

the problem with this setup is that it appears that the engine is pulling in hot air from the engine bay, better to put the filter/inlet in an airbox with a cold air feed: colder = denser = more oxygen to burn your gas

the installation in the photo in particular appears to be close to the exhausts, not a flash idea
