Title: Bit of an amature question
Post by: will.o on February 23, 2013, 09:57:10 PM
1996 Mk3 Golf failed its WOF because the springs aren't captive. The guy said you can move them too much.

They are bilstein springs and have passed the WOF every other time.

Is it an easy fix?

It depends on your wof guy. My springs can turn and can move a few mm but cant come off the perch so are fine

Immature?
Some are tough some are not so tough. If they rattle around when off the ground you need to sort it really.
