it might be the guy that owns sweetline.....candy importation company, big time car collector....if it's him it'll be legit......
sweetline has long gone.
sweetline > brandlines > dksh nz
sweetline founders mark granger and philip crawshaw were known car nuts.
granger was infamous around town with his red bentley turbo.
iirc crawshaw had an e-type ?
both left palm nth a long time ago; crawshaw is in tga,
last i heard granger went bust ~2015.
palmy vegas history right there
I know the owners of this car. It should be a good one.

Hope someone picks it up and gives it the love it needs and deserves.
VASKers?
I see buy now added @ $62,000 ...
well that number may seem high....but that beautiful black graphite 10valve that was at archibalds a few years back sold for 60k didn't it?
I guess one thing is sure and looking at the UK prices are continuing to climb so its a good time to own a quattro regardless of WR, MB, RR or Sport, only wish I had brought a sport before they became desirable ... lol don?t we all !
q + a shows a few issues that weren't mentioned in the original ad.
caveat emptor

Given only 214 left hand drive Sport-quattro's were factory built of which 164 units were sold and delivered to customers I suspect they have always been desirable.

Windscreen angle looks good to me. Coupe screen is noticeably more laid back.
its a replica made out of audi 80 bits for the windscreen...wonder if that would help knock the price down?..easy get it past the misses..look dear its an old 80s coupe, worth 6 grand...anyway just noticed a buy now on the trade me car at 55

Might that be because after cutting 12" from the coupe chassis Audi used the screen frame and A pillars of the Audi 80 to gain head clearance for tall German called Walter Rohl. The car was homolgated for Audi's rally program not commercial volume.

I believe the 80 front end was used as the works drivers had complained about the bad reflections they were getting from the earlier windscreen. With the more upright windscreen, reflections were greatly reduced.
Sold for $45k, thats a good price for a WR in NZ, not too long ago they were around $25k...
hmm, wont be longbefore those, any rs2 and the odd original rs4s go off shore...if it hasnt started allready

4 RS2's have left NZ shores over the years.
Did those RS2's go overseas with their owners, or were they to overseas purchasers?
Silver went to the UK with owner, an a black one to Aussie. Which other cars have left?
The black one was tony?s old car eh.

Two went with owners. The first one (blue) in the last 90?s to Oz. The second (silver) was to the UK, this was Colin Giltraps wife?s car.
Two others have gone to OZ in the last couple of years, both black.
Two available here in oz
