What do you think - good dealer, car history, price?

Is that an ex-demo car? Low K's on the clock...not even run in :)
Looks nice, though.
Quotenot even run in
That's an interesting point. You'd expect a demo car to be abused. Is there a risk that bad run-in ruins the engine down the line? (no pun intended).
Do modern cars need to be run in?
I remember seeing a doco on Lamborghini bench-running their engines at full-noise for hours immediately after they came off the assembly-line. This was to de-bug and run-in the engines so you could thrash them from the dealership straight away.
???
golfboy will probably know about the dealer better than me, but they're basically the licensed Audi dealer in Hawke's Bay so i doubt there'll be any problems there, and i assume warranty support will be included.
i say go for it - i might even let you take me for a spin. ;D

That car is at my local dealer, imo it needs some paint touch ups (front bumper) and it has a small dent on the rear drivers side wheel arch or back door. The car is ex demo, and to be honest dont be put off by demos.
My father sells cars and he has had many many demos, lot of them I have "helped" run in. When these cars have been sold and retraded they honestly feel like they have more power, rev cleaner and return better fuel consumption than most cars that have been nannied front day one, oh and they dont seem to come back with any small problems.
Thanks for the advice.
There's about 2 years of warranty left. And it's less risky too if these guys have a good reputation.
Anyone interested in a mint, much-loved B5? Always serviced at Audi, new MAF, big service done at 60k (brakes, cambelt, valves). No scratch or dent on body or rims.

Would you like me to take some pics of the imperfections on this car?

If that's not too much of a hassle that'd be awesome.
Thanks mate!

you might want to do a couple of 50-100kph tests comparison between the two, who on earth could you get to drive your old one ??
actually, what sort of $ are you asking for the B5? it's chipped isn't it?

shhh! (i'm trying to make him think of me. you're not helping.)
I had it de-chipped in anticipation of selling it. It's been re-mapped for 2 months or so but I feared that it would attract more questions than necessary. Now back to the original map.
Money-wise it's still up in the air. I've had a private offer for $76k which isn't much considering the car is in great shape. But then again, I don't expect miracles.
Still in 3 minds whether to let it go now. I've put my name down for the new M3 (bloody tail happy, so I'm not too sure), the RS5 should be out in the next year or so, and then there's the B7 RS4. I like the idea of a coupe but I'm not sure I want to wait for another year.

wait for the RS5. you haven't got a bad car to do the waiting in.
feelou, I went to take pics of the RS4 today but it not on the yard atm.
