Title: Waist trim on Mk1 cab
Post by: VAG-GAV on April 13, 2017, 02:18:25 PM
Anyone aware of the different types of waste trim for a Mk1 cabrio?

I have plain black on my 88 Cab but the plastic is wearing in multiple places showing chrome underneath...

I have seen the pre big bumper models sometimes have a very thin chome waist trim, everything after was either plain black or black with a chrome strip running down the centre.... I cant seem to find any of the black with chrome centre online anywhere... anyone aware of how this is achieved or have people had this done specially?

Thanks Dave... will have to come and say hello upon a free weekend - just moved house so my life is everywhere but keen on a few bits.

Bits I know I need:
Plastic housing behind the drivers door release
Carpet clips to hold the carpet on to the sill
and the waist trim as noted.
