Funny about the tiger round...(from hobby link japan)its a rubber blow up of my sons!..looks real.Sad about your car,but when its re built itill be worth it..only going up and as time goes by will become even more sort after. As for the RS4s around...theres a black one in freemans bay auckland i drive past in the morning to work...looks quite ordinary till you get closer...really is a wolf in a bad fitting sheep cover.I wonder if the good wood green ones still around?

The goodwood green one is still with its original owner down in Wellington.

Haven't seen that before but it doesn't look good

Take it to OCD if you get a chance, they can measure the thickness of the clearcoat with a special tool they have - if there is no clearcoat left then you won't want to polish it and it will need a repaint

If the clearcoat is thick enough, then you can try cut/polish - but my gut feeling is that car needs a repaint

Out of interest - how old is the car and do you keep it inside a garage or standing outside?

Not a problem, another one to look at which might be worthwhile, you can find 2012+ (new shape) A6's with the 3.0tfsi engine for the same price as S4's.

Same power output and over 400 litres more capacity loadspace. I have a 4 month old boy, and he fills an  A4 currently.

Interesting, although the A6 won't leave much room in our garage unfortunately. Only looking at spending around $30k though.

Why are you disconnecting the battery?

Leave the battery alone and do as was suggested - How are you going to measure a parasitic loss if there's no power?

Good buying at $30k. Although the reserve was twice that. Not many people in NZ that would part with $49k on a car with so many KM on it unless is was a classic.

While a cool car / SUV, I think that the reality is that this is the sort of vehicle that is unlikely to every be a classic or a collectible vehicle, regardless of how good/not good it may be.

The description on that car is headache inducing.

As long as it is mechanically sound, a good dose of TLC would bring it back to life!

Sorry - is it as easy as getting an sd card with maps and downloading onto the unit? I was looking at a jap import 2014 mk 7 but it had jap maps and radio. Eurosurgeon quoted $1250 to change over
