Title: After upgraded e-mission software (RECALL), E-mission caution light on.
Post by: theg00d on May 18, 2017, 04:26:11 PM

Anyone has a same problem as mine?

The e-mission caution light on after 1 day they upgraded e-mission software. so I had to visit to Audi centre again because of this problem.
They said "It's not their fault. even you are the one who has a problem like this in NZ, It is a coincidence."

They made me really annoying. They upgraded it and its not their fault?

As I found articles on the google, so many U.K Audi customers had the same problem as mine so Audi U.K paid 90% of replacement fee for them. but the customers are still complaining about 10% of their payment.
Even its on the U.K news now.

I explained about this problem with this websites. But they said It's different COMPANY and they don't care.

I know many customers are thinking to go to there for upgrading e-mission software (diesel customers)
I'd like to recommend you don't upgrade software. I was happy to go there for air pollution but I got a problem like this and they offered me to pay $1300 for changing intake connection.
They checked my car for 3 hours then they told me my car engine and everything are fine but if the light on again I should take $1300 lol

*Fact.

Audi NZ lie to customers. I am seriously thinking to sue Audi NZ with all evidence. It's the exactly same engine as U.K Audi cars as we can easily check from Audi NZ recall letter.

Please let me know if you have a same problem. We don't need to waste our time and our money for Audi's fault.

Thanks.

Why did you bother getting the emission upgrade in the first place?

Hi Brian, I went to there because I got 2 letters from Audi NZ to upgrade software. They directly sent me letters to home.
You should read this news.

Audi NZ says "It's a social campaign." But It's not true. It's a scandal.

You could hve ignored it unless you are a rampant greenie
Also, the mod is only to meet the (useless) test, and quite meaningless in normal drivng conditions

That's true Brian,
I could ignore what they want but legally they have to upgrade the emission software because they lost at the court as I know.

So many people got a same problem as mine so I'd like to notice this problem to Diesel customers.

Thanks for your advice.
