Post by: bingslayer on January 18, 2018, 12:22:08 PM
Hi guys , im sure im going to get a few negative comments but oh well >:D

I was wondering if it is possible to fit an odometer switch on a 2000 a6 allroad 2.5tdi?

I have asked a few people who dont think its possible. What are your opinions?

The simple answer is no. It's illegal to tamper with it.  :police:
Even if it was possible, nobody on a forum would give you advice on how to break the law.

If I knew i would give it in a heartbeat ...  :laugh:

the whole diesel extra tax is fkn sh*te, so go for it ...   >:D

I remember ..............................................................

................  ::)

When they told us how great it was to go diesel, costs, production, yadda yadda, then a few short years later they thought damn, we aint making enough money and changed all the rules ........

The only guy I know still driving a D uses the two speedo approach, one for all the driving and the other for inspections ...   :police:

I'm sure a few people on your local 4x4 forums would know. Surely some of those new cruisers and patrols are running electronic odometers with switches.
