Title: Mk2 KR throttle body part numbers?
Post by: black16v on November 03, 2017, 06:31:21 PM
Did a smoke test on the inlet manifold which showed the butterfly shafts in the throttle body are leaking. Have sent it for repair (hopefully). Thought I would try my luck and rang Qualitat and as I thought the part has been discontinued. They gave me the part # 027133063 BA. I have found one that looks newish, part # 027133063 AH. They can't say if these were the same a said ring a dealer. Rang Continental Cars who couldn't find anything, gone off the system. That didn't surprise me.
Question. Does anyone know what the letters mean? Superseded from each other or totally different? Cheers.

According to that link the one you have found is for models with cruse control.
Not sure what the differances are.

Hmmm interesting. Is that what they call "the same but different".😉  I have a 9A throttle body which is different in many ways but one difference is it doesn't have an idle adjusting screw. If the PL and 9A both run KE- jet, how does the 9A adjust idle speed?

Thanks Santa, a.k.a Carb & EFI Specialist Wiri. Received rebuilt throttle body today. They did a good job repairing something that is not supposed to be repaired. Replaced all the needle roller bearings for the butteryfly spindles. Also thanks the Grant at Hometune Penrose who checked out the K-Jet and ignition, all good. And did the smoke test to find vacuum leaks in throttle body.
