So would love a 2n or 2nF polo.  Missed out on one a beige on TM once when seller (on be half of) pulled it off TM before auction end and sold it for $250 to someone
else!

2N? That's a Typ 86C. The Mk1 Polo (1975-1981) was Typ 86, the Mk2 (1981 -1994) was Typ 86C (facelifted in1990). The 'N' designation arrived with the Mk3 in 1994.

The Typ86 Polo was a very big seller in the UK and many 86C's are still around there, although I guess you did not get them new here in NZ?. I had a 1987 Coupe S (Coupe GT in Europe) for a few years in the early 90's. 1272cc with the 4+E manual gearbox, very economical and quite happy on the motorway.

- confused, I had the face lifted one (while knocking around the EU for a year) with model numbers: 2nF .. I thought the 86C and 2N were the same..
then again I could be getting my wires crossed.

Not much has changed obviously!

Not sure what my plans are at the moment, see how it goes for the moment. Definitely needs the bumpers turning back black, and the door cards are knacked!
