Post by: RGolf on November 07, 2017, 01:19:24 PM

Just had a quote to replace the radiator on my wife?s mk5 1.4 tsi golf, at $950 is that high?

$436+ for the radiator (genuine) & $90+ for 2 bottles coolant (full system flush).
So $300-350 for labour is about 2-3 hours (close enough).
Seems about right?

Maybe, maybe not, ~$605 inc for the radiator and coolant and labour time will depend on how much of a bitch the job is - which is must be to get that sort of labour time.
There may be other incidentals, though, like hose clamps and even hoses if they are in poor condition and need replacement.

I remember they have to change a couple of plastic hose junction hence the higher price.... dunno :-[
