I probably have some headlights, although they are the same as the a6, I only have urs6 bumpers

don't A6/urS6 headlights have slightly more contour along the inner top edge compared to urS4? To fit the different grille

yeah...i don't think an a6 headlight is going to fit, they are quite a different shape. even the indicators are different.

this guy modified a non-S C4 bumper using his old smashed up S bumper, if you have no luck finding an ur4 bumper - he joined the old flared side bits onto the replacement standard bumper...

it's probably not what you want to hear but i have an urs4 bumper (and bonnet and wings and rear bumper) but I've got them put aside to one day swap onto my s6 - I have mild dislike to the facelifted C4 s6 compared to the 100 s4.

I did see a pair of c4 headlights on trademe (the s4/late quattro ones with the fog and low/mainbeam all in one unit) not so long ago for $120 for the pair. kind of annoyed I didn't grab them now, they were in WLG from memory

Auto or manual? I have had the Auto for about 8 years now. I love it.

The good. AAN Engine / running gear is bullet proof, 280k on the clock and still runs smooth as. A lot of knowledge has been compiled about these cars online, see quattroworld.com/s4s6 (read the FAQ and if it doesn't put you off then welcome to the club), s2forum.com, motorgeek.com and a few more. Galvanised body, no rust! The shape of the car is beautiful compared to modern cars, tbh this is the main reason I keep it.

The bad. These cars are getting on and require pre-emptive maintenance unless you want to get stuck on the side of the road one day. Many cheap OEM fit parts will often bugger out after only a few years (cheap in quality but not in price!). I import all my parts from the states, you pay shipping but still cheaper than local. Some parts though pays to go to the dealer, either local or import.

The engine design date back to the late 80's but with upgraded ignition system. Ie: not a modern engine and a heavy car to boot. But if you have a crash you will be perfectly safe.

TBH if you want to keep it on the road it will become your new hobby and you will need a lot of time and patience. But the information is there, I have fixed everything on this car thanks to the community at quattroforum.com but it will cost you, ie: if you are Dutch spend $15k on a newer car right now and forget you ever thought about buying a C4 Audi S4..

I think you will pay a lot of money for the headlights and front bumper. This car has Euro headlights and front bumper if imported new into NZ. Americans pay a lot of money for Euro headlights and front bumper (as Euro bumper is bigger and can fit bigger front intercooler). Find out the price and talk down the sale price due to this cost! If you can find the parts at all in NZ.. good luck it will cost you. If you buy this car, make sure your insurance includes headlight glass... I put on 3mm thick protective cover over my headlight glass after a chip due to a stone..

Check for signs the radiator has leaked due to impact or age, have a look at the plastic housing at the front of the radiator you will see a film where the plastic housing / surround meets the core, that is a leak and the radiator will need to be replaced. Inspect all hose joints for the same film to see what the film looks like. Also at the back of the head, look for a water leak between head and block, and right there is a plastic water connector coming off the block to a hose, a likely candidate for a leak for original part. Also under intake manifold is the turbo coolant return pipe, hard to get to and soft like goo if it is an original part, waiting to fail.

A new radiator for my car (Auto trans) was ~$800 with discount as I talked them down, about 5 years ago from the dealer and I couldn't get one elsewhere, and they had to import it! I couldn't find one online. To install your self is at least a days work, lucky you got the bumper off already...lol. Then "while you are in there" jobs such as timing belt. The crank pulley bolt is 450 newton metres and requires a 3/4 inch drive bar 1 metre long to get the leverage you need. We used two men to crack it / tighten it, and I was scared of the force we had to use. You can buy a timing kit (2 belts, water pump, t belt tension pulley) for US $150 plus freight. While you are in there you need to replace the crank pulley as the key will be cracked, another US$100 for OEM part. Don't let me put you off, but I could go on all day.

Headlights (3 bulb)

FYI front bumper has flared arches, not the same as standard Audi 100 (C4). Rear bumper and many other body parts are the same as standard Audi 100.

What is the asking price and mileage?

If you don't buy this car I may be interested for parts if it is an Auto, in which case please PM me with seller details.

You can probably get a custom front bumper made from another C4 bumper and get the arches custom made wider to fit?

But in all honesty just fit a bumper and headlights that almost fit and drive the mother damner. If you make it look good it will fly through a Wof. You will never look back after driving this beast.
