Mk6 Golf - Jetta - Scirocco - Beetle / Re: Advice: Scirocco R

some more reading

https://www.evo.co.uk/volkswagen/scirocco

avoid the 1.4

the 2.0 was ok but more grand tourer than hot hatch, would rather have a golf gti

2.0 R was the pinnacle
fast, powerful, exciting for a vw, a little unruly.

Whatís a fair price range?

You could fit a set of Toyo R888 tyres.
Not sure they give it that period correct look though

Technical Stuff / 1.8T Radiator Fans Pulsing on and off
« Last post by robh on September 20, 2018, 11:52:38 pm »
Just started doing this:

1. Engine cold
2. Ignition off
3. Connect battery
4. Fans pulse on and off

I've read a million different views via google, ranging from low speed has failed in fans themselves to fusebox issues on top of battery to fan control module issues.

Car doesn't overheat.

Any direct personal experiences?

Are you sure? We have only had the red demonstrator in so far and no cars for clients yet. Bit early for imports.

Suggest you send an email enquiry to Longstone tyres in UK.
They show Pirelli 215 50 R 15 on their site   https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/audi/audi-quattro.html
but you may have to ask about the new 215 50 R 15 Vredestein Sprint+

I have purchased Dunlop Racing tyres from Longstone, good service and fast delivery

vredestein have not been available in NZ, been trying to track down for a little on 6 years now.
Short of importing them yourself? You won't have much luck I don't think.

If however you find a supplier? please share, I really would lik to give there tyre a go.
