A couple of weeks ago I had new Michelins fitted at TyreTech. Great price and service from them as usual. I've gone against the advice on the internet and fitted the OEM size 245/40 tyre. Conventional wisdom is to fit 225/45 tyres to replace to original Dunlop 8000 245/40, because it was a 'skinny' 245. This is certainly true, but the 225 has a slightly higher side wall. Anyway, long story short, Chris was very patient and he carefully checked the tyres would fit the rims okay and checked for clearance on the car. Finally, a wheel alignment was done to the correct RS2 specs (I provided these).

I couldn't be happier with the look, or how the car drives. The stance looks wider and it feels more planted on the road. There is also more weight in the steering.
