Just ordered a new set of tyres - the new Bridgestone Potenza RE003. Will be interesting to see how these go. Interestingly the load rating for 225/45/17 has gone up to 94 compared to the 91's on the RE002's.

If you ever try Goodyear F1 asymmetrics they are also 94Y in that size. You can get them for around $200 a corner from Mag and Tyre Direct.

The RS2 has developed a slow coolant leak. It seems like it's coming from the electric after run water pump. Is that what it's called?

Its coming up time for me to replace the cam belt etc on the RS2 for my second time. The prices are now eye watering, a f&cken joke even!

Cambelt: 59 Euro = 98 NZD (Audi Tradition). Last time I replaced it I was charged: 21.85 pounds = $47 NZD

Water pump: 303 Euro = $503 NZD (Audi Tradition). Last time I replaced it I was charged: 62.15 pounds = $133 NZD
I just got a quote in from my local Audi dealer, it gets worse, they want $894.30 NZD for the water pump.

Im trying to figure out what the best options are: 1) Suck it up, 2) Fit ABY (S2 Water Pump & Cambelt), 3) RS2 Cambelt, ABY (S2) Water pump and put my existing RS2 pully on the ABY pump.

What would you do?

I'm looking at the same next service Nik. It's a joke but at least you can still get the parts. I say go with option 1!

034 sell this: https://store.034motorsport.com/timing-belt-kit-2-2t-aan-aby-adu.html#product_tabs_description
I thought the ADU cam belt was different to AAN/ABY?

I have that tab open at the moment. But yes, the AAN/ABY has a different cam belt and water pump compared to the ADU in the RS2's.

I have placed an order from the US for auxiliary water pump, spark plugs and ABY/ANN water pump. I'm going to see if the ADU (RS2) pulley will fit the ABY/ANN pump, after all this is the only difference.

The joy of owning an old Audi, Nik. You either suck it up or sell it. Audi are hopeless at supporting old models with new parts.....as you know.
