Out with the old, in with the new.







While the headlights are out, i wanted to pop in new LED park light lamps. In true euro style, the wires insulation is brittle. Going to re insulate with heat shrink sleeve to make it new again. Not keen on popping fuses once done.

Those wires do look a bit the worse for wear (heat)

Nice car...did you buy it from Christchurch? I looked at a Sprint Blue DTM some years ago and it left the yeard quicker than a R8 in a getaway

I bought the car from a fellow up in Auckland over a year ago, he did mention acquiring it from a lady somewhere down south. The car was brought in by Christchurch European in 2014 i believe.

So, the high pressure fuel pump failed three days ago. Engine light came on followed by a short misfire and then the car had significantly reduced power but still running. A quick scan revealed "fuel pressure regulator performance".
New HPFP on the way from Harry's Euro. Hopefully will have the energy and will power to install tonight after work.
Perfect timing as this happened in the middle of moving home.

Replaced the PCV valve. One of the easier jobs to do.  :)
