For those interested in B7 DTM's, here's a bit of info for you. 25 examples were sold NZ new - all manuals.

The break down of colours and how many survive are:

13 Avus Silver - 4 Written off
9 Phantom Black - 1 on exemption
3 Sprint Blue

one of the blue ones was in a major front end,
had the chassis leg cut and rewelded, and a replacement front end shipped from the UK.
It's a non-sunroof model. all done without insurance knowledge as the driver was drunk at the time.

Interesting to know. Was that car based in Auckland?

No since it has two owners part of this, it could have been queenstown or Waikato. At that stage I had to talk to two different people about the car.
