Howdy Vaskers.

Long time VAG fan here. Had an A3, S3, MK4 Golf GTI, Currently loving my '06 Passat 3.2 and recently acquired an '09 C6 RS6 which will more than likely be up for sale in the near future. Once I iron out all the kinks!

The RS6 has an oil leak and I'm not entirely sure if its the dreaded O ring problem that often entails engine-out to fix or just something simpler. I'm taking her to Sutherland Performance here in Welly in a couple of days and the Powerhaus a week later for comparable quotes, thoughts, ideas, strategies. Apparently this has been dealt with (along with coolant pipe issues that are common on the BUH V10's) but I'm not entirely convinced that these works have been carried out 100% perfect.

The car itself is a Jap import and looks like it landed in Chch before being purchased by someone in Palmy were it was for a couple of years before it got handed over to "Codyland Cars" north of Auckland who I bought it off. Not a real car dealer but someone who is trying to flick multiple cars at once. (Also he completely failed to mention the oil leak whilst we were transacting. I definitely will hold this against him!) Other than the oil leak and multitude of other minor issues I've already rectified (steering column up/down, drivers door lock actuator, parking sensors front and back, door lights, Number plate lights, still working on the front left full beam!. How the hell did it get it's last WOF??!), it drives bloody amazing and looks immaculate!
