Wow! 6 months and ticking!!!!
Indeedy, these things cost money... Thoughts did cross my mind about the rear screen having an "accident" and getting the winged one fitted that way, but I'm keen to keep the one in there in one piece and store it.

One question I do have though - I'm going to have to unplug the rear wiper/washer unit once this screen goes in (to prevent nasty things happening if someone flicks the rear wiper on, or has the front wipers on and selects reverse, as this automatically sweeps the rear wiper).
Is this likely to make the car throw a fault code or am I going to get a nice bright light and a piercing beep every time I start the car?

Wow that's quite an aerofoil!

I guess she's going to get very good at using her wingmirrors now!  ;)

Nah, gonna tie some tires on to the rear bumper - tug-boat style... She's half asian, so she's rather adept at parking by braille ;D

Perhaps it was the promo girls leaning on it last time....?

Awesomeness!
Are they leather seats?

Yes, due to the previously mentioned promo girls and plenty of the foul smelling drink being spilled on the cloth originals, Redbull NZ had the seats re-trimmed in leather in a reverse pattern to the standard vRS scheme (what was light grey is now black etc, finished with blue stitching) just before they sold the car on.

Matt: Thanks once again for your help in allowing us to get the car back to it's "original" spec :)
Tyres are Toyo Proxes 215/35/18 with no rubbing issues unless there's 3 decent sized blokes in the back.

Interesting driving with this on now... As I had thought, fuel consumption increased over a known, well traveled route - Putaruru -> Sylvia Park.
Averaged out to 4.6L/100km, whereas normally this trip returns 4.4L/100km. Still, no need to find our own oil well yet

Dare I say it, but looking at the angles involved on this... It does what it says on the tin - There are a few sections of road near home with moderate to sharp bends, signposted to 65km/h but easily taken at 100. I've used these in the past to benchmark any suspension tweaks done in my cars.
Until now the vRS has turned in well but the back end always felt a little too light - just a slight skipping over corrugations, that always felt like it was never far away from upsetting the balance and the line you were aiming for... that disappears with a couple of people in the back.

Yesterday and today, over about 75-80km/h that lightness has decreased somewhat and you can feel the suspension trying a bit harder to keep the back end planted.
Would be very interested to measure exactly how much downforce it could produce at rally/racing speeds.

Cool.  Just fitted the same tyres to our one - big improvement over the 245s!

Jesus! They must have been rubbing the inside of the wheel-well on full lock :-\

Ours has tell tale marks where that's happened in the past... With the 215's there's a small clearance, but there will be more clearance when I turn the lip on the spacers down and fit them to the front.

Yes, there is some evidence of rubbing on the front.  215s now have lots of clearance so will tidy up the scars soon.

If any one would like one for their VR-s then;

There are several versions available, and you can get the wide body kit from them as well.

Glad to see the wing reunited with the car.
