Koni vs Bilstein
« on: June 27, 2020, 03:09:18 am »
Hi

I need to replace front struts on my RS5 and looking at either Koni Sport or Biltstein B8.

Car doesn't get tracked so looking for reasonable ride quality - close to oem.

Price wise they are about the same. Koni have the benefit of being adjustable so can dial them in but i have also read that on full soft they are still stiffer than the bilsteins

Does anyone have opinion on either?

Also would replacing struts with non oem require cert

Thanks

They are both excellent brands

Just pick on based on budget

Adjustable is neither here nore there probably more gimicky

No cert require for a drop in spring and damper replacement

Ordered some Bilsteins from Demon Tweaks as they had best wordwide prices incl delivery. Arrived this week and installed yesterday along with new top mounts. Had a wheel alignment done this morning.

So far very pleased with the ride, firm but forgiving.
