Presently my wheels on the VR have an offset of 43. Does this mean they sit further towards the body of the car or further towards the outside of the car? I am getting some new wheels which have an offset of 23 so trying to figure out of these new wheels will sit closer to the inside of the car if you get me drift.

The higher number, the closer to the inside of the car the wheels will sit.
