Hi, is there someone on the forum that is able to do the above on a AUM code 1.8T ECU?

Hi John,

You won't need to Flash it/Retune it, just needs VCDS/VagCom to recode the Engine under Long Coding.

From memory its roughly something like below.
1 - Auto
2 - Manual
3 - 4 Motion

Some MK4 ecus don't allow change via vcds. Really random.
